Yesterday was a great day. I followed my plan and I lost 1 pound. I'll take that any day of the week.
I'm really proud of having gotten off my butt and cleaned off the treadmill so I could walk. My treadmill is old and isn't the best, but it works well enough to get me sweating. I changed up my routine so that I didn't just sit on the couch while I watch NFL games, I exercised and it felt awesome. I'm a little sore today from having the incline on the treadmill set high, but that's a good reminder that I actually worked yesterday rather than laying around.
I ate after 5 p.m. which is not what I want to do, but I didn't eat much prior to that so it balanced out. A big key was to eat slowly and only have one serving. The food my daugher made was delicious so that wasn't easy, but I focused on enjoying the food rather than eating as much and as fast as I could. These changes are victories in an of themselves, but it is really nice to see the reward on the scale in the morning.
Today is going to be a great day with a full day of work to keep me busy and getting together with friends tonight. I'm looking forward to a great week and I want to lose another 5 pounds this week. Let's see what happens!
