261.4 pounds, - 0.6 pounds since yesterday, - 71.6 pounds overall, 19.4 pounds from my goal of losing 20 pounds.
Thanksgiving was fantastic in so many ways. Being with my family for multiple days, playing games, going on a hike, watching movies, and of course eating. The food for the past 4 days was wonderful and abundant. It was like my love language. I ate the typical Thanksgiving meal multiple times this weekend and I ate a ton of it. Turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, green beans, corn, apple pie, ice cream, the list goes on and on. We also had home made pizza one night. Needless today, I gained a lot of weight leading up to Thanksgiving and from that day on.
Yesterday was the first time I stepped on the scale in a while. It was a wake up call to see that I was 262 pounds. I'm glad to report that I lost some weight since that moment, but I have a long way to go. My goal is to lose 20 pounds this month. Since I gained so much weight yesterday I believe that losing 20 pounds in December is possible. The problem of course, is going to be the feasting at Christmas. I need to make as much progress as I can before Christmas and then make sure I don't go crazy eating too much at Christmas and beyond.
I need to modify my eating and I need to exercise. This weekend I got outside and went for a hike. It was great. We have snow on the ground and it is beautiful outside. I hope to do that a lot more in December.
If I can lose 20 pounds in December, that will put me in a great position to keep the momentum going for January. I'm excited for what the month ahead holds. Anyone care to join me on the journey?
