243.8 pounds, - 0.2 pounds today, - 89.2 pounds overall, 10.8 pounds from my goal of losing 100 pounds.

Just because it is taking time doesn’t mean it is not happening. I saw this quote recently, and it made a huge impact on me because I’ve been losing weight slowly. It can be frustrating and demotivating at times, but this quote reminded me that progress, no matter how small, is still progress.

Yesterday I followed my plan and lost 0.2 pounds, which doesn’t seem like much. But then I thought about what that really means. If I lost 0.2 pounds every day for a month, that would be six pounds. If I did that for six months, that would be thirty six pounds. And if I kept that pace for a year, that would be seventy two pounds.

Those small daily numbers add up over time. Even if progress isn’t as fast as I would like, it’s still progress in the right direction. It’s better to lose weight slowly than not at all. Consistency wins every time.
