244.0 pounds, -0.4 pounds today, - 89.0 pounds overall, 11.0 pounds from my goal of losing 100 pounds.
This weekend I ate more than I should have, but I also exercised more than I have in a long time. One day I hiked 5 miles over rough terrain, and today I hiked 4 miles. The result was worth it. The extra activity outweighed the extra eating, and I ended up losing 0.4 pounds.
Exercising felt amazing. The weather was perfect, the scenery was beautiful, and being outside reminded me just how good it feels to move. Sometimes, it’s not about perfection, it’s about making the most of the opportunities that come your way.
The lesson learned is simple: make hay while the sun shines. When the chance to exercise presents itself, take it. Don’t wait for perfect conditions or the right moment. Seize the day, get moving, and enjoy the reward that follows.
Progress isn’t always about control, it’s about consistency, effort, and recognizing when the moment to act is right.
