244.5 pounds, - 0.2 pounds today, - 88.5 pounds overall, 11.5 pounds from my goal of losing 100 pounds.

Start slow and build momentum.

I went for a two-mile walk today after not walking for about four days, and it felt great. Getting back out there reminded me how important it is to start slow and not overdo it.

I learned my lesson with the weighted vest when I put it on for the first time with 24 pounds in it. Wow, was that a mistake. My legs were sore for days. It was a good reminder that overtraining can backfire. Starting too hard can lead to burnout or even injury.

It’s much better to ease into things. Start slow. Begin with a few workouts a week and add more once it feels natural. That approach keeps your body strong, your energy steady, and your motivation high.

By easing my way back into exercising, I lost 0.2 pounds. It isn’t much, but it’s progress. And progress, no matter how small, is what keeps me moving forward. I’ll continue to build up my activity over time, one step and one walk at a time.

P.S. Have you ever pushed too hard too soon and learned from it? Hit reply and share your story. It might inspire someone else to find a healthy pace on their journey.
