246.6 pounds, - 0.6 pounds today, - 86.4 pounds overall, 13.6 pounds from my goal of losing 100 pounds.
Yesterday was a great day. I had lost a little momentum lately, so I decided to take my day one step at a time. I focused on doing the next right thing instead of trying to be perfect.
I ate right during the day, then after work I got in my Zone 2 exercise, and I stayed strong by not eating after 5 p.m. The result was that I lost 0.6 pounds, and it feels great.
We all go through stretches where motivation fades. It’s normal to start strong and then hit that wall a few weeks in. That’s why it helps to have a plan for low-motivation days.
Keep things simple. Have a go-to workout that doesn’t take much thought or a quick list of easy, healthy meals you can fall back on when you don’t feel like cooking. When your motivation dips, let your plan carry you.
Yesterday reminded me that momentum comes from action, not the other way around. When you take small steps, the energy and motivation follow.
If you’re feeling stuck today, don’t overthink it. Just take one step in the right direction. You’ll be glad you did.
P.S. What helps you stay consistent when your motivation fades? Hit reply and let me know. I’d love to share some of your ideas in a future post.
