Good for the Soul. 249.3 pounds, + 1.0 pounds today, - 84.7 pounds overall, 15.3 pounds from my goal of losing 100 pounds

Yesterday was a great day with friends—but a tough day for my weight.

I met up with friends for lunch and then went to a football game. Both were a blast and didn’t impact my health too much. The real challenge came later when I joined another group of friends for an all-you-can-eat barbecue. I ate way too much and ended up putting on a pound. On top of that, I didn’t exercise. Honestly, I’m surprised I didn’t gain even more.

Even though it wasn’t great for my waistline, it was good for my soul. Spending time with these guys was worth it, and I don’t regret it one bit.

Today, it’s time to get back with the program—eat smarter, get some exercise, and stay focused. It’s supposed to rain, so I’ll have to be creative, but that’s part of the journey.

Lesson learned: A healthy life is about balance—enjoy the moments, then get right back on track.
