249.9 pounds, + 0.6 pounds today, - 83.1 pounds overall, 17.2 pounds from my goal of losing 100 pounds!
I walked with less weight in the vest yesterday, but the result was the same—I gained weight. This time it was 0.6 pounds.
The weighted vest is backfiring. Not only is it making me hungrier and leading to weight gain, but it’s also stealing my motivation. Walking has started to feel like a chore instead of something I enjoy, and that’s not what this journey is about.
So for now, I’m going back to walking without the vest. I want to bring the joy back into my walks and focus on consistency over intensity. We’ll see what happens, but I know getting back to the basics is the right move.
Lesson learned: The best plan is the one you can stick with and enjoy.
