Honestly, I was shocked when I saw the scale this morning.
Why? Because I didn’t follow my plan yesterday. Sure, I skipped breakfast, but between lunch and dinner I ate way too much. We went out with good friends to celebrate, and once I got going, it was hard to stop. I ate more than I should have, but there were still some small wins: it wasn’t a buffet and I stopped myself from having dessert.
And while I didn’t get my 2-mile walk in, I was fully expecting a gain—especially after losing 2 pounds the day before. Instead, the scale surprised me with a 0.4-pound loss. What a relief!
Today is a fresh opportunity. My plan: intermittent fasting and a 2-mile walk.
The weather is cool with a chance of rain, but it looks like it won’t be bad enough to keep me from walking outside.
We’ll see what happens today—and we’ll see what the scale says tomorrow morning. Step by step, the progress is happening.
Small wins add up. Every day is a chance to move closer to the goal.
