238.2 pounds, + 2.1 pounds today, - 94.8 pounds overall, 5.2 pounds from my next goal.

Today, I’m a little farther away from my goal of losing 100 pounds. The scale showed a 2.1-pound gain—but I’m not disappointed.

Sometimes life gets in the way—and in this case, it was for all the right reasons. I didn’t intermittent fast, and I didn’t get my 2-mile walk in. Instead, I took my daughters out to dinner—one is heading back to college, and the other is leaving for a week of work. Those moments can’t wait.

I knew I’d gain weight, and I was okay with it. Because the 100-pound milestone can wait. My daughters can’t. I chose wisely, and I’d choose the same again.

Today will be a bit of a challenge. It’s Saturday, and without the structure of a workday, it’s harder to stay on track. I’ve got some chores to do, but beyond that, the day is wide open.

My hope is to eat right and get some exercise in—but we’ll see how it unfolds. What I do know is that tomorrow is a new day, and the scale will tell the story then.

This journey isn’t just about weight loss. It’s about learning what matters, making intentional choices, and staying committed—even when life shifts the plan.

And I’m still in it.
