247.5 pounds, - 1.9 pounds today, - 85.7 pounds overall, 7.5 pounds from my next goal
After my 4-day work trip where I gained 2 pounds, I jumped right back into my routine—intermittent fasting and a 2-mile walk—and the result was a 1.9-pound loss. That feels great and has me excited to keep the momentum going.
Yesterday after work, I headed to my favorite trail at the state park for a walk along the river. It was hot and humid, but that didn’t matter—I was looking forward to my time in nature. The walk itself wasn’t difficult, but after 5 days without walking, I could tell I’d lost a bit of fitness. Still, it felt so good to get moving again.
There’s something incredibly satisfying about finishing a workout and knowing you’ve made progress toward better health. If I could give one piece of advice, it would be this: find a plan for eating and exercising that works for you—and stick with it. You will feel better.
Today is shaping up to be another great day. The gloomy morning is supposed to clear into sunshine this afternoon, and I’m hoping to get my walk in before heading to an Irish festival in St. Paul with friends. There will be bands and food, but I’ll likely skip the food—events like that are an “uncontrolled environment” for me, and I know how easy it is to overeat.
We’ll see what happens today—and what the scale says tomorrow morning!
