Business trips can be tough—especially when meals are served buffet-style and the food is really good. It’s far too easy to lose track of how much I’m eating when I don’t slow down and let my head catch up with my stomach.
Lately, I haven’t been successful at doing that. The result? I’ve gained 2 pounds.
I know what I need to do:
• Drink more water
• Eat slowly
• Stick to one plate of food—no seconds, no excuses
These are simple rules, but in the moment, they’re hard to follow. That said, I’m not giving up. I’m still in this fight. Every day is a chance to do better—and today, I’m hoping to make choices I’ll be proud of.
This journey isn’t about perfection. It’s about progress, self-awareness, and not backing down.
