Yesterday, I followed my plan—I walked 2 miles and stuck to my intermittent fasting schedule. But this morning, the scale was up 1.1 pounds.
So, what happened?
I know exactly where I went wrong: even though I didn’t eat three meals, I overate during the meals I did have. I let myself get too hungry, and then I ate foods that really triggered my appetite. That combination led to eating more than I needed—and more than I realized in the moment.
It’s frustrating, but it’s also a learning opportunity.
This journey isn’t just about following a schedule—it’s about learning how my body responds, and how my habits affect my results. I’m taking this as a reminder to be more mindful about what I eat, not just when.
Today is a new day. I’ve got a full schedule to keep me focused, and I’m planning to get out for a walk after work. Thankfully, the weather has cooled off—yesterday it was 100°, today it’s in the 60s—so that should help.
I’m still aiming for my next goal: losing another 10 pounds. One step at a time, and today is another chance to move forward.
