Yesterday was one of those summer days I’ll remember for a long time. We spent 4 hours tubing down a beautiful river, and with the heat index hitting 100 degrees, the water felt absolutely perfect. Floating along, laughing, staying cool — it was fantastic.
We capped off the day in Hastings, Minnesota, watching the 4th of July fireworks. It was one of those classic, joyful family nights. Fireworks, fun, and memories made. In every way, it was a perfect day.
I also enjoyed myself a little too much when it came to food, and the scale reflected that this morning — I gained 2.2 pounds. But even with that, I’ve still lost weight this week overall. That’s what matters.
Now it’s time to refocus. I want to get back into the groove of daily progress and steady weight loss. I didn’t walk yesterday, and today’s forecast is calling for rain all day — so we’ll see what happens. I may not be able to walk, but I can still stick to my intermittent fasting plan and make smart food choices.
One day doesn’t undo everything. Today is a new opportunity.
We’ll see what happens — and we’ll see what the scale says tomorrow morning.
