I walked 2.5 miles again yesterday, stuck with my intermittent fasting plan, and this morning the scale showed I’m down 2.0 pounds.
That’s a big win — and I’m feeling grateful, focused, and motivated.
I know every day won’t bring results like this. I know I won’t always follow the plan perfectly. But that doesn’t change the truth: the plan works. When I stay consistent, it pays off — not just on the scale, but in how I feel physically and mentally.
One habit that’s been especially helpful for me is avoiding food after 5 p.m. If I can do that, I consider the day a success — no matter what the scale says the next morning. It’s a simple line I can draw, and sticking to it helps me stay in control and finish the day strong.
Today, though, is going to be a challenge — the forecast says rain all day. That could easily throw off my walking routine. But I’ve got a treadmill at home, which means I really don’t have an excuse. I need to commit to walking rain or shine. Movement has become such an important part of this journey, and I’m not going to let a little weather derail that momentum.
This journey isn’t about being perfect. It’s about being committed. And right now, I’m committed.
Here’s to stringing together more good days — and trusting the process, even when the results don’t come all at once.
