There’s nothing quite like starting your Monday with a win.

I stepped on the scale this morning and saw I was down 0.8 poundseven after eating leftover pizza yesterday. And no, it wasn’t some tiny nibble. I had a normal portion and enjoyed every bite.

So how did I still lose weight?

Intermittent fasting.

It continues to work for me because it gives me structure, boundaries, and space to reset between meals — even when I’m eating something indulgent. It’s not about perfection. It’s about consistency and balance.

Another thing that really helps?
Getting back into my work routine.
Having a schedule makes it so much easier to stick to the plan. When I’m busy and focused, I’m not thinking about food all day. I’m not wandering into the kitchen just because it’s there. The rhythm of the workday keeps me on track without me even realizing it.

After a fun, food-filled weekend, I’m grateful to be starting the week with momentum. Losing 0.8 pounds is more than just a number — it’s proof that you can live your life, enjoy your food, and still make progress.

If you’re feeling off after the weekend, let this be your reminder:
You don’t need a total reset.
You don’t need to overcorrect.
You just need to get back into rhythm — whatever that looks like for you.

Let’s make it a great week.
Let’s stay focused.
And let’s celebrate every step forward — even the ones that happen after pizza.
