Down 2.2 Pounds — Even on a Saturday
Yesterday, I stuck to my plan.
I followed my intermittent fasting window. I stayed intentional. And I didn’t let the usual “Saturday mindset” pull me off track.
The result? I’m down 2.2 pounds.
And more than the number, I just feel good.
Clear. Energized. Proud.
Saturdays have always been tricky for me. No structure, more downtime, and that little voice that whispers, “You’ve been good all week… relax.”
But yesterday, I didn’t listen to that voice.
I stayed present, and it paid off.
Now it’s Sunday. Father’s Day.
Which means celebration, family time… and homemade pizza night.
Yes, pizza.
A favorite in our house and, let’s be real, not exactly the easiest meal to navigate while trying to stay on track.
But I have a plan.
I’m sticking to my intermittent fasting window.
I’m going for a hike with the family this afternoon to move my body, clear my mind, and set the tone for the evening.
And I’m going into the day reminding myself that balance is possible, even on special days.
Because what I’ve learned is this:
It’s not about being strict — it’s about being intentional.
It’s not about avoiding fun — it’s about being mindful while enjoying it.
So I’ll enjoy the time, enjoy the food, and still honor my commitment to myself.
To those of you reading this — how do you handle special days like this?

Because the journey is always better when we walk it together.
Here’s to another good day — one mindful choice at a time.
