Regaining My Balance, Getting Back on Track, and Hitting the Road

After gaining 1.4 pounds the day before, I’ll admit — I was nervous to step on the scale this morning.

But today?
The number leveled off. No additional gain. No further backslide.

And while it wasn’t a loss, it was something just as important:
A turning point.

Because today I feel like I’ve regained my footing.
I’ve gotten back on track with intermittent fasting, and it’s already making a difference. Not just physically, but mentally. I feel more grounded, more aware, and more in control of the choices I’m making.

No, the scale didn’t reward me with a drop today — but after a tough food day and that 1.4-pound gain, I’m taking this as a win. A sign that the momentum is shifting back in my favor.

That said, I’ve got a new challenge coming up:
A road trip.

A lot of time in the car.
A lot of food temptations.
And a lot of opportunities to mindlessly snack or give in to “vacation rules.”

This is exactly where I’ve gone off the rails before.
But this time, I want to be intentional — not perfect, just present.

So I’m asking you — the people who understand this journey better than anyone —
👉 What are your best tips for staying on track during a road trip?

  • How do you handle gas station food or long stretches without healthy options?

  • What snacks actually help, not hurt?

  • How do you bounce back if a day gets away from you?

I’d love to hear your advice — and even share some of your ideas in a future post.

Because if there’s one thing I know for sure, it’s this:
We don’t just need willpower — we need each other.

Thanks for being part of my journey. Let’s keep moving forward — one mile, one moment, and one mindful choice at a time.
