Four Days in a Row — and Still Losing
I stepped on the scale this morning and had to do a double take.
Down again.
That’s four days in a row now — four days of seeing the number drop.
And what surprises me most?
It’s the weekend.
Weekends have usually been the enemy of progress for me. Too much flexibility. Too many opportunities to overeat, skip movement, and slide back into old patterns. But this weekend? I did things differently.
Don’t get me wrong — I ate a lot of food. I enjoyed the day. But I stayed within my intermittent fasting window, and I stayed really active. That combination worked better than I expected.
Here’s what my day looked like:
I mowed the lawn in the heat, broke a good sweat, and kept moving around the house.
I spent a few hours out on the boat, soaking in the sun and fresh air.
I stayed hydrated.
I stayed intentional.
And I kept reminding myself: you’re not doing this perfectly — you’re doing it consistently.
That’s the difference this time.
I’m not trying to be perfect. I’m trying to be present. Intentional. Aligned with what I say I want.
And now, with four straight days of progress, I can feel it — not just in my body, but in my mindset. That little voice that used to say “it won’t last” is being drowned out by a new one:
“You’re doing it. Keep going.”
So that’s exactly what I’m going to do.
I’m going to:
Keep honoring my fasting window
Keep moving — even if it’s just doing chores or walking around the block
Keep checking in with myself before I eat
And most importantly, keep showing up
Because four days of momentum didn’t come from luck. It came from intention.
And I’m just getting started.
And to you — the one reading this, maybe hoping for your own momentum — let me say this:
You don’t need a perfect plan. You don’t need to wait for Monday.
You just need one honest choice today.
Start small. Stay consistent. Trust the process.
Your next breakthrough might be one decision away.
Let’s keep going — together.
