Down 1.3 Pounds — Starting the Weekend Strong

I stepped on the scale this morning and saw it:
Down 1.3 pounds.

And honestly? It felt really good.

Not just because of the number itself — but because it means the small choices I’ve been making are adding up. The water instead of soda. The walk instead of the couch. The pause before grabbing a second serving. It all matters. And this morning’s weigh-in was proof of that.

One shift that’s made a big difference lately?
Intermittent fasting.

I’ve been using it consistently, and it’s helped me feel more in control of my eating windows, reduce mindless snacking, and actually feel lighter. It’s not magic — I still have to be intentional about what I eat — but it’s given me the structure I’ve been missing. And clearly, it’s working.

But here’s where it gets tricky:
It’s the weekend.

Weekends are where I’ve slipped before.
Less structure. More flexibility. More opportunities to say “just this once.”
And while I’m all for balance and living life, I know how easy it is for a few days of relaxed choices to completely derail my momentum.

So this time, I’m doing it differently.

I’m heading into the weekend with a plan — not just hope.
I’m asking myself: What does it look like to enjoy the weekend and still honor my goals?

Today, part of my plan is getting outside and mowing the lawn — even in the heat. I love mowing and it’s a way to move my body and be productive. It’ll be sweaty, active, and one more step in the right direction.

Here’s what I’m committing to:

  • Stick to my fasting window — even if meals look different, I’ll keep my eating window consistent

  • Stay mindful — I’ll check in with myself before I eat, not after

  • Move daily — Whether that’s mowing, walking, or anything that gets me out and active

  • Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate — Because it makes a bigger difference than I like to admit

  • Celebrate progress — Not with food, but with confidence and intention

I’m starting this weekend with momentum, and I want to end it the same way — proud, focused, and a little bit stronger than I was before.

If you’re starting your weekend with progress too — let’s keep going.
And if you’re still waiting for that spark to re-engage? Let this be it.
We don’t need perfect weekends. We just need present ones.

Let’s move forward, together.
