Down Over a Pound — But the Weekend Is Coming

This morning, I stepped on the scale and saw something encouraging:
Down 1.1 pounds. In a single day.

I felt proud. Surprised. And honestly, a little relieved.
Because yesterday, I made good choices — simple, steady ones. I stayed mindful, followed my plan, and reminded myself why I started this journey in the first place.

But now it’s Friday.
And if you’re anything like me, you know the weekend brings its own challenges.

Weekdays come with structure — routines, schedules, guardrails.
Weekends? Not so much. Weekends come with flexibility, social plans, snacks, and a voice in my head that says “You’ve done so well, you deserve a little break.”

Here’s the thing: I’m not afraid of enjoying my life.
But I am learning how to enjoy it without undoing the progress I’ve worked hard for.

So as I head into the weekend, I’m setting a few intentions:

  • Stay grounded — Check in with myself before I eat. Am I hungry, or just bored?

  • Move my body — Even if it’s just a short walk, movement keeps my mindset strong.

  • Stay connected — I’ll check in with my community, my goals, and my why.

  • Celebrate with choices, not just food — A peaceful morning, a quiet drive, a deep breath.

I’m not aiming for perfection. I’m aiming for awareness. For balance. For momentum that lasts longer than a meal.

So yes — I’m proud of the 1.2 pounds I lost. But I’m even more focused on how I carry that commitment through the next few days. One choice at a time.

If weekends are hard for you too, you’re not alone. Let’s stay grounded, stay kind to ourselves, and prove to ourselves that we can live AND make progress.

What tips and tricks do you have for facing the weekend?
