How do you celebrate when you hit a big milestone? For me, I'm excited and thankful for all of the progress I've made, but I know I need to focus on hitting the next goal or it won't happen. You can't take your eye off the ball for too long or else you will lose your momentum, or worse yet, go backwards.
So what milestone did I hit? I am now out of the 240s, which means, according to the U.S. Government health statistics that for my height I am no longer "obese!" Whoohooo! this is awesome. I am so excited to have achieved this goal. I'm really proud of myself for having stuck with my plan to make this happen. I am not officially "overweight," and I will be until I am below 200 pounds. I definitely want to lose another 40 pounds so I can enter into the "fit" category, so there is much work yet to be done.
Yesterday was a great day. I was able to keep from eating after 5 p.m., I had a full night of sleep, and I worked out in Zone 2 for 30 minutes. All of that combined for great weight loss on the scale this morning. The challenge is to keep this going.
Today is going to be a great day. I have a full day of work to keep me busy and tonight I'm getting my hair cut, so that will help me lose a fraction of an ounce of weight. Ha. Seriously though, having that activity tonight will keep me busy and help the odds of me not eating after 5 p.m. If I can do that and get good sleep and exercise in Zone 2 for 30 minutes, who knows, maybe I'll lose weight again. We'll see what happens today and we'll see what the scale says tomorrow morning!
