Your Expectations Of Who You Will Be In The Future Are Wrong

How do you celebrate big events in your life? I'm trying to not have all of my celebrations be about food, but last night I couldn't help myself. We had much in our family to celebrate so we went to Lolo's, a wonderful restaurant in Stillwater, Minnesota. I ate just about everything on the menu. I had two appetizers, a main dish, and a wonderful chocolate brownie with ice cream. When we came home for some reason I felt the need to continue to stuff my face, so I had a huge bucket of popcorn with butter on it. All of that led to a record weight gain of nearly 4 pounds in one day. Unbelievable.  Today is going to be another difficult day for me like yesterday. I am going to a funeral and then tonight we are going out to eat as a family. I expect to eat a lot today as it will be an emotional day and I am an emotional eater. I am going completely against my plan. We'll see how I do today and we'll see how much weight I gain on the scale tomorrow morning.

How do you keep your momentum going? For me, I want to ride the wave that I'm on for as long as I can. There is no better time to make progress than when you are making progress. It might not always be easy to do, but everything is there to keep you moving forward, so keep riding the wave. Yesterday was a great day. Work kept me busy all day and I managed not to eat after 5 p.m. I exercised in Zone 2 for 30 minutes and I had 8 hours of solid sleep. This is my formula for success and it is working for me, so I am going to keep at it.  Today is going to be a great day. I have a full day of work and there is no reason I shouldn't be able to follow my plan. I am excited to get out of the 230s and I'm really close now, so I need to keep pushing to hit that goal as soon as possible. We'll see what happens today and we'll see what the scale says tomorrow morning!
