Even small wins can take your eyes off of the focus you need for success. The bigger the progress the easier it is to take your eyes off the step right in front of you and to look out in the distance and dream about what the future success will look like. The only thing this does is to take you from the immediate focus you need to maintain to actually achieve that ultimate goal.
Yesterday I was able to maintain my focus well enough to achieve great success on the scale this morning. I didn't have large meals, and I did eat after 5 p.m., which I didn't want to do, but I skipped breakfast. So between that and exercising and getting 8 hours of sleep, I lost nearly 1 pound. I'm pretty excited about that. Now I need to keep my focus on what is happening today.
Today is going to be a great day. I have a full day of work ahead of me to keep me busy. I don't know what the plan is tonight, but I hope to not eat after 5 p.m. If I can do that and exercise I should be able to lose weight again. We'll see what happens today and we'll see what the scale says tomorrow morning!
