I lost nearly 2 pounds yesterday because I stayed in the game. If I had given up because I had gained 0.5 pounds the day before I would not have achieved this result. Yesterday I stuck with my plan and I didn't eat after 5 p.m. I didn't exercise, outside of doing some chores around the house, and I had a good night of sleep.

It felt amazing stepping on the scale this morning and being rewarded for staying in the game. Even if I didn't lose so much weight I would have been happy, simply because I kept on fighting. I know that if I keep fighting the results will come.

My challenge today is the same as everyday, to stay in the game. It is easier to do that after having had success, but that success presents a challenge as well. I'm tempted to take my foot off the gas and coast because I had so much success yesterday. I have to fight that temptation and keep fighting for more progress.

I have a full day of work today to keep me busy and if I don't eat after 5 p.m. I hope to lose more weight. We'll see what happens today and we'll see what the scale says tomorrow morning!
