"If you are going through Hell, keep going." This quote may or may not have been said by Winston Churchill, but the idea is powerful regardless. The opposite is true with regard to weight loss. When you have momentum going your way, keep going.
Yesterday was a great day for me. I got up very early to go to a networking event where breakfast was served. I ate more than I normally do for breakfast. My big breakfast made me hungrier than usual for lunch, so I ate a decent sized lunch. This in turn made me hungry last night. It was a real battle to follow my plan and to keep from eating after 5 p.m. I had to keep reminding myself that I had an appointment with the scale this morning so that I wouldn't give in to the temptation to eat after 5 p.m. I am so glad to report that I was successful and the result was losing another pound on the scale this morning.
Today is going to be a great day. I have a full day of work to keep me busy. I don't know what tonight holds, but I need to stay committed to not eating after 5 p.m. If I can do that I may lose weight again today, but given how much I've lost recently that might not happen. I'm fine with that as long as I stick with my plan. We'll see what happens today and we'll see what the scale says tomorrow morning!
