Momentum is an awesome thing, if you are going in the direction you want to go. Right now I'm riding the wave of progress in the right direction and I'm really excited about it. I want to ride the wave as long as possible.
Last night I successfully avoided eating after 5 p.m. and I was rewarded on the scale this morning because of it. We watched an old movie, The Reef, which was a based on a true story of people in Australia whose boat was capsized in the ocean and they had to determine if they would stay on top of the upside down boat or swim to a reef that they couldn't see with the hope of being rescued. I'm glad that my choices around food and health are not that immediately consequential, but they are consequential, just more pronounced over a longer period of time.
Today is going to be a difficult day with it being Saturday and a lack of structure. I'm possibly going to a local college football game. I'm frightened about the food choices that await me. I'd like to say that I'm going to simply skip meals, but that isn't realistic. I'm not sure what to do, other than try to make sure to not overeat at any one meal. We'll see what happens today and we'll see what the scale says tomorrow morning!
