The NFL is a difficult league. Very few teams win consistently, and even those that do are thankful for each hard earned win. They need to celebrate the wins so they can be motivated to work hard with the hope of having the same experience in the future. As a Minnesota Vikings fan, this year is a great example of celebrating wins and working hard for the next one. The Vikings are currently 5-0 and look primed to make a great run to the playoffs. (I'll stop now with Vikings talk because I've learned over my lifetime that this eventually leads to a disappointing ending.)
The need to celebrate is the same with weight loss. The feeling of frustration is all too common when trying to lose weight, so when we have days of success we need to celebrate and reinforce the desire to have the same experience again in the future.
Yesterday was a great day for me. I ate according to my plan, had a full night of sleep, and even though I'm not able to exercise due to my strained IT band, I lost the weight I recently put on, and then some! I'm really happy with this result and I am excited for more progress.
Today is going to be a good day. I have a full day of work to keep me busy and I plan to follow my plan as I did yesterday. If I can keep from eating too much during the day and not eat after 5 p.m. I hope to lose weight again, even though I lost over 2 pounds yesterday. We'll see what happens today and we'll see what the scale says tomorrow morning!
