You need to examine why you are having success so you can repeat the actions that produced your results. When you have success it can be easy to take it for granted. Sometimes you don't pay attention to the causes of success until you have setbacks. However, the best time to examine what brought you success is when you are having success because everything is fresh in your mind. It is too easy to forget the details, good or bad, days or weeks after an event.

Yesterday was a great day for me. I followed my plan of eating, sleeping, and exercise perfectly and I was rewarded on the scale this morning. I didn't exercise because of the continued issue with my IT band being strained. I don't think that will change until Thanksgiving. I had a full night of sleep and I was able to avoid eating after 5 p.m. It helped that as I hung out with my daughter watching Dancing with the Stars that she didn't eat anything that filled the room with smells that would make me hungry. The keys to my success yesterday were to have a plan and to be in an environment that made it easy to follow the plan.

Today should be another great day. I have a full day of work to keep me busy and I hope to not eat anything after 5 p.m. If I do that I might be able to lose weight again today. We'll see what happens today and we'll see what the scale says tomorrow morning!
