The process of getting healthy should be fun. Wins should be celebrated and it should be enjoyable, otherwise it is too difficult to sustain momentum. Yesterday was a day where I enjoyed the ride and I was rewarded on the scale this morning! I followed my plan and didn't eat after 5 p.m. and it felt great. It wasn't all easy, however.

My daughter made an amazing roast in the crock pot last night and the smell was so wonderful that I was very tempted to eat it. That wouldn't have been the worst thing in the world, but the problem would have been that one plate of this meal would have led to another, and another. I did what I could to occupy my mind so that I didn't give into temptation. That worked, and I lost weight. I feel great about following my plan.

Today is going to be a great day. I will be on the road and I have a full day of meetings to keep me busy, and none of them are over meals. If I can avoid eating after 5 p.m. I hope to lose weight again today. We'll see what happens today and we'll see what the scale says tomorrow morning!
