I'm back after a week on the road for work. The week did not go as planned with my eating. I ate too often and I ate too much. I was at a conference and the food that was provided was delicious and it was served buffet style. This is my kryptonite. I need any chance of having a buffet since I have very little impulse control when it comes to food that is good and available in large quantities.
I arrived home on Monday of this week and it took me 3 days to get out of the habit of eating anything and everything I could get my hands on. I've lost weight for the past 2 days and it feels good to have made that progress. Now my challenge is to keep that up over the weekend.
Today is going to be a great day. I have a full day of work to keep me busy and we are getting together as a family tonight to celebrate a birthday. Steak and all the trimmings are on the menu, as well as a fantastic desert, so I have to prepare for that. The good news is that this will not be a buffet so I won't be tempted to eat too much food. I'm hoping to skip a meal or two before dinner so I can counter balance all of the food I'll eat tonight. We'll see what happens today and we'll see what the scale says tomorrow morning!
