It is amazing how often you will find yourself in a place where you are faced with difficult choices. If you lived in a world with few choices and all of them were helpful, life would be easy, but that is not the reality we live in. There are temptations everywhere that make it difficult to stick with a plan of eating.
Last night we went out to our favorite local restaurant, Poco Loco. We love this place because the food is fantastic. The temptation I face when we go there is to order more than I need, just because I want it and it tastes so good. What I've learned from eating there is that when I order a burrito or a burrito bowl I am happy with just that. The portions are large and the food tastes so good that I slow down and enjoy each bite. By the time I'm done eating I'm satisfied and don't want or need anymore food.
Yesterday I did not stick with my plan exactly, but I stuck with it well enough to lose weight on the scale this morning. I ate after 5 p.m., but I didn't eat lunch so that allowed me to lose weight. I exercised and had a full night of sleep, all of which resulted in success. My weight loss journey continues and this community is a a huge part of my success. I can't thank you all enough for all of the encouragement and support you have provided.
Today is going to be a good day. I have a full day of work to keep me busy and tonight I'm meeting a good friend for dinner. If I can replicate tonight what I did yesterday in skipping one meal, I hope to lose weight again. We'll see what happens today and we'll see what the scale says tomorrow morning!
