Progress never happens in a straight line and it doesn't happen every day. Setbacks are real, and sometimes they are big. This weekend was such an occasion for me.

I went deer hunting this weekend and stopped at Fleet Farm before hand to buy a license. I also bought 10 times as many snacks as I should have. I picked up multiple bags of trail mix, which I ate like a bear getting ready for a long winter's nap. I ate these snacks by the handful all weekend long and I paid the price on the scale this morning. I only saw two small deer so I didn't even shoot. I did, however, put on weight. I gained nearly 4 pounds in 3 days. What an accomplishment!

Today is not only a reconning with what I did over the weekend, it is also a day to move forward from this setback. Life happens, I can't beat myself up over this. I need to get back with my plan and lose weight today.

Today is going to be a great day with work. I'm planning on eating better, not eating after 5 p.m., and exercising. If I do those three things I know that I will lose weight. We'll see what happens today and we'll see what the scale says tomorrow morning!
