It can be tempting to want to quit when you fail, but it can also be tempting to quit when you succeed. Yesterday I followed my plan perfectly and I was rewarded on the scale this morning in a huge way as it showed that I lost over 2 pounds. I feel so good emotionally and physically that I'm tempted to throw caution to the wind and eat like a pig today. I can't do that. I've come to far and I have much farther that I want to go.

Last night we went to see Wicked in the movie theater. As I walked in I saw the workers eating pizza. I was tempted to grab that from them and to order a bucket of buttered popcorn and a Diet Coke. I managed to walk past the counter and go directly into the theater. The movie was entertaining and kept me occupied so I didn't have any snacks. When I got home I went to bed pretty quickly so I avoided snacking then. I knew I was going to be rewarded on the scale this morning, I just didn't realize by how much.

Today is going to be a challenge, as weekends always are. I have chores to do around the house to keep me busy. If I can stick with my plan and not eat after 5 p.m. I hope to lose more weight. We'll see what happens today and we'll see what the scale says tomorrow morning!
