I'm no expert, but zone 2 training is like a miracle for me. I found out about zone 2 training from watching a 36 minute video of a man running a marathon in under 3 hours and he talked in a normal voice the entire time. He shared about benefits of zone 2 training and I was sold. According to this blog, if keep your heart rate between 60 and 70% of your maximum heart rate and you will burn fat as your fuel. I can attest to how effective this training is for my weight loss and I love it.
When I train in zone 2 my biggest challenge is to keep my heart rate lower than 70% of my maximum heart rate. It feels like I am barely exercising and I wonder how it can be helpful, but when I get on the scale I see the results and I know it works.
Yesterday I ate a little more than I was planning to, but I exercised for 30 minutes in zone 2 and I managed to lose weight again. I'm so close to the 240s that I have to keep pushing today and tomorrow to get there.
Today is going to be a great day. I have a full day of work to keep me busy and I hope to not eat after 5 p.m. If I can do these things I hope to be out of th 250s. We'll see what happens today and we'll see what the scale says tomorrow morning!
